Diversity is what makes us different
Diversity is one of our fundamental values. We have always strived to create international teams, promote gender diversity, bring in people with a variety of profiles, provide opportunities for disabled individuals and develop programs for young people. Total has operations in 130 countries worldwide, so managing our teams and understanding our host countries’ markets requires a multicultural approach.
Beyond this geographic reality, we actively promote diversity right from the hiring stage by paying special attention to:
- Gender diversity, to align the percentage of women in our management teams with the percentage of women graduates from schools and universities.
- Non-standard profiles and/or educational backgrounds, such as seniors and visible minorities, which could get overlooked in the 450,000 applications we receive each year.
- Disabled individuals, to support them throughout their career paths.
Our policy is designed to promote equal opportunity at all levels of the corporate community and eliminate all forms of discrimination, including affirmative action.
